Psalm 119 starts out stating, "How blessed are those whose way is blameless. Who walk in the law of the Lord. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies. Who seek Him with all their heart." Just like that Psalm, we often start out great guns in the Lord, then life hits you in the face and you spend more time trying to get through the battle than remembering that the Lord said for us to remember that, “The battle is not mine, but the Lord’s”! We grow weary, we get confused in the fog of that spiritual warfare and it’s so much easier to pull away from the Lord and take a nap, or worse still, just pass out on Him. Psalm 119 is your defibrillator! Read it! Don’t fade out now – wake up you sleepy head. Get going! (Listen to entire sermon below.) Is the answer just blowing in the wind? Or is the answer in who makes the wind blow? Man has such a high opinion of himself to think that he can change the world’s climates by his own hand. “Yes, we can!” is the decree the self-absorbed would have you buy into! So, let me get this straight. If we had been able to stop all the dinosaurs from driving SUVs the world would have survived the global warming or cooling “climate change” that made them extinct? We might want to consider who is in control. “Professing themselves to be wise they became fools.” (Romans 1:22 NKJ) Let’s take a look at who is really in control – the Creator of it all. We know God is in control, not man. May I suggest you go to the Bible to learn more from the Word of God. You will see what awesome power He is! (Listen to entire sermon below. Choices are going to need to be made that will determine more than we can imagine. These choices will have an impact on each and every aspect of our everyday lives. How we determine what the correct choices are is of paramount concern. In order to make these decisions, we must know and be able to recognize what is true and what is not (discernment). But how do we do this? What do we look for? Where can the truth be found? Jesus is the Light of the world, and in His Word, the truth can be found. “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) “But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” (John 3:21) If you have never put your complete faith in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation, why not believe what God's word says and call on Jesus Christ to save you right now?
