Be careful of anything that competes with your loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ. And one of the greatest competitors of worship of Him is works for Him! Ah, but you say, “God said that faith without works is dead”. Yes, but be careful because the devil wants you dead from exhaustion not exultation! Are you more devoted to service than to Jesus? Only you can answer that question. Live to please God, and if you don’t know what pleases God, just ask Him. He’ll tell you: • Obedience • Prayer • Praise • Forgiveness • Truth • Purity • Kindness • Generosity • Love • Peace • Patience • And things such as these (Hebrews 13:15-16; Proverbs 16:7; 1 Kings 3:9-14; 2 Corinthians 5:9) Let us not only serve God, but also satisfy Him! (Hear the entire message below.) If you have never put your complete faith in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation, why not believe what God's word says and call on Jesus Christ to save you right now? Are you a “giver” or a “taker” for God and each other? Our sermon today will, hopefully, cause you to understand how very important you are to the full function of God’s work on earth. Yeah, you! The whole idea of the Christian walk is not to have some religion to run to in time of trouble; not to have some mumbo-jumbo mystic give you comfort in the midst of your storms. No—the Christian walk is just that…a walk with Christ! Remember, though, you can’t be a part of His work unless you are a part of the Body of Christ. Let Him inside your heart, not just in your head. If He’s just in your head, it’s only information; when He’s in your heart—that’s transformation. Let Him transform you from “gimme, gimme, gimme” to “glory, glory, glory”! Scripture References: Philippians 4:7-9; Colossians 1:9-10; Colossians 2:6-10; Romans 12 (Listen to entire sermon below.) I think God is crying out the same thing to us today; not only for our blessed and glorious country, but for Him and for each other. Whether you are paid or a volunteer, you are an important part to the full function of God’s work on earth. Let Jesus come inside you and let Him pull you together as an integral part of His body—holy, sanctified and for His good use. (Colossians 1:27). Let’s make sure it’s not “gimme, gimme, gimme; but rather all for God's glory, glory, glory! Join with us today as we review the workings of the body of Christ. Remember, when you need God most, He often sends His love in the form of one of His people; a “part” of the body of Christ! For your ease in listening and downloading, this week's message will be divided into two parts.
PRINT OR VIEW HAND OUT BELOWJesus declared that “the good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.” KJV says, “For of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” (Luke 6:45) I love the way Paul expressed his willingness and readiness to preach the gospel to whomsoever. He said, “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.” (Romans 1:15) He was ready and willing to release what filled his heart on the inside. (“…as much as in me is…”) Elihu, the youngest of Job’s comforters said, “Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, like new wineskins it is about to burst. Let me speak that I may get relief; let me open my lips and answer.” (Job 32:19, 20) Is this your experience? Can you say, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes…”? (Romans 16:1) Is your life so filled with a passion to spread the gospel that you feel you might burst if you don’t speak it? Are you willing? Are you ready? Do you speak out of the good treasure of your heart—every day? Audio: (Click forward button below to play audio of sermon and/or download mp3 file.)
