We’ve covered this subject many times before and it’s certainly worthy of a repeat performance. 1 Corinthians 13 gives a listing of some of the aspects of “love”, as God sees it. We not only need to review that list, but also realize that this “love” thing God is talking about is active–it is a doing based on a choice made. Can you honestly say that you choose to let God’s kind of love flow through you when you run into a lying dog of a drug addict, an annoying relative who will take all you have and never return the favor, or a co-worker who sabotages your work to assure their advancement and not yours? It seems that our kind of love just runs out when we run into these situations. Well, God’s love does not abandon these people and neither should we. He loved YOU when you weren't too lovable! Temper His love with His wisdom and you will joyfully be able to serve and tend to those who have sinned against you and yours. If you have never put your complete faith in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation, why not believe what God's word says and call on Jesus Christ to save you right now? Remember, it’s one thing to be convinced of the need for the new life, but it is an entirely different thing to acquire the new life! The fruit of the Spirit of God is the key in this whole thing! The fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are not the same…the fruit of the Spirit is what we ARE and the gifts of the Spirit are what we DO. No one can be or do what God desires without the indwelling of the Spirit. Go ahead; ask Him to come inside…your whole life will change! If you have never put your complete faith in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation, why not believe what God's word says and call on Jesus Christ to save you right now? Click here and let us show you how you can KNOW JESUS. Let thankfulness govern your thoughts even though it sounds a little crazy in problematic situations. Remember, in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 it tells us that in everything give thanks. There is a reason for that…a thankful mindset keeps you in touch with God. And when it is all falling apart, that is right where you want to be. In His presence, there’s no room for grumbling and being angry with Him. Practicing a state of thankfulness will safeguard you against the sins of complaints, dissatisfaction, etc. Instead of some scary monster in your closet, you can see things clearly and will be aware of your many blessings. You’ll still have the challenges and sorrows…but how you view them and how you get through them is totally changed…and for the better. Listen in to the sermon and learn how.
© www.heartlight.org Whether we like to admit it or not, all of mankind is born with a sinful nature. And, because of that, we NEED righteousness from God. So if we ever want to approach God…it’s got to be on His terms and not ours! It may sound harsh that it’s “my way or the highway”…but if anyone is really honest with themselves before God, they know that man’s ways always fail and come short of what we really need and want…so it has to be His ways. Born to destruction and detached from God means you will only end up in hell, whether you like it or not…it is the truth and you will be held accountable before God. So, what’s the alternative then…well – don’t ya’ think it would be a NEW LIFE? A life in which your sins have been forgiven and the stench and the death sentence of those sins has been obliterated – gone –removed. That new life is free, folks…freely given to all who trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation. Follow along and find out the rest of the story. © www.123rf.com We are facing some very important times ahead – for our country, the world, and each one of us individually. Choices are going to need to be made that will determine more than we can imagine. These choices will have an impact on each and every aspect of our everyday lives. How we determine what the correct choices are is of paramount concern. In order to make these decisions, we must know and be able to recognize what is true and what is not (discernment). But how do we do this? What do we look for? Where can the truth be found? Jesus is the Light of the world, and in His Word, the truth can be found. “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) “But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” (John 3:21) If you have never put your complete faith in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation, why not believe what God's word says and call on Jesus Christ to save you right now?
