Galatians 5:1, "It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery."
A kids’ song about the Lord says… “We are weak but He is strong”. You can’t train your broken Adam nature to live like Jesus says to live BUT if you crucify that flesh and don’t let it rule then the nature of God which is in you will come to the forefront and do the good things of God.
Read Galatians 5:16-26. It contrasts the deeds of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit…and even common sense alone would tell you to choose the fruits of the Spirit! Remember, God is preparing each of you in unique ways.
He wants us to treat each other with gentleness along the journey, realizing we are all different and are at different levels of understanding of the riches of a life in the Lord. We are to bear each other’s burdens, not rip each other apart. We are not to think too highly of ourselves, lest we too fall.
God knows each of us…faults, sins and all, yet continues to shed His grace and mercy on us. He loves us…get that through your heads. He is not excusing your sins…He is just forgiving them!
Again, I say…buckle down…no more excuses!
