“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV) We all go through very trying times. Our first reaction in these situations is to bring in the command center and take over all emergency operations from communications so that all directives are under our management. When our loved ones are in a crisis, we feel that we must be able to rescue and save them. But is our grasp of the situation greater than the Lord’s? Are we doing His will or our own? “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV) Trust in Jesus. Pray for Him to direct with His infinite wisdom and authority in these times of weakness, and take your hands off the controls! “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.’” (Matthew 28:18 NIV) There is no other that can do what the Lord can do.
