When we lead – we often lead ourselves and others “off the cliff”. The reason is that we really don’t know the best way to go. It’s hard to admit that, I know, but pride is a tough part of the broken, corrupted wisdom we inherited from Adam’s separation from God.
When Jesus says, “Come, follow Me,” it holds a huge significance. Jesus knows where He’s going – and we don’t! And a big part of following is…waiting on the leader.
Waiting on the Lord is not in vain. Follow Jesus and you’ll get life, and not life in prison, either!
Our sentence is to life — everlasting — in Jesus. Step back, get out of the way, wait on the Lord and let Him lead you in the way in which you must go.
